Beautiful picture of mother and daughter. I sponsored a child through World Vision several years ago - it was the most humbling experience ever. It reminded me how I take so many things for granted and that I really do have a great life and nothing to complain about. We look for teachable moments and pray often with our kids about all things. We use The Jesus Storybook Bible to read to the kids. Both my husband and I love it! One of the things my husband does randomly is to talk to the kids about what they are learning and challenge them to think about what they are hearing (sunday school, AWANA...) and see if what they hear lines up with scripture. We have long prepared the kids for "the world says" vs "Christ says" but sometimes they need to be challenged to take even what they learn in Christian environment and think about it. I love that He just asks questions and helps them to process and doesn't just tell them "that's right" or "that's wrong." What a neat idea!
